~Savvy Blonde With A Dash Of Quirk~
Alana Schober is an actor, business owner, writer, producer and model. She has appeared in numerous television shows, films, commercials, corporate videos and music videos. Alana is the founder and owner of a school called ‘Sparx Studio’ which offers Educational Acting Classes to children. Alana has roles on TV episode’s of Mangoes (ATN Canada & OMNI), See No Evil (Discovery Channel), and Paranormal Survivor, Haunted Case Files, Murder Wall (T & E Network).
Alana was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada. Growing up as the middle child, Alana shared a wide range of interests with both her sister and brother such as basketball, swimming and tae kwon do. After watching her older sister perform in a production of Our Town, she became mesmerized by the stage and made her stage debut at age eight as Piglet in Winnie the Pooh. This was followed by a starring role as Alice in Alice in Wonderland. Alana continued to act throughout her elementary and high school years. Upon graduating, Alana’s love for teaching children led her to the University of Victoria, where she completed her Bachelor of Education. She has taught both public and private school students in Vancouver, Victoria, Toronto and northern Quebec. During most of this time, Alana took a hiatus from acting – although she always incorporated drama into her lessons whenever she could.
Throughout her teaching career, Alana couldn’t shake the feeling that she had been neglecting her passion for acting. In 2014, Alana decided to return to her thespian roots by acting in two different Agatha Christie murder mysteries – roles that required the use of a British accent. It was during this time that she decided to take the next step into the film world and make the switch from teaching to acting. In her first year-and-a-half, she booked roles in eight short films, two music videos, three commercials and three modelling jobs while still teaching part-time.
Alana’s signature acting style is uniquely quirky in a manner that charmingly contrasts her girl next door appearance. She takes pride in her reliability, motivation, adaptability, silliness (she loves freestyle rapping) and keenness.
In the summer of 2017, Alana drove from Vancouver to Toronto to start a brand new life with acting as her main career. She is constantly looking for new ways to surpass her comfort zone and expand her current knowledge base in the film industry.
